The Alluvial Gold PropertiesA very large Cuyuni-Oko Rivers alluvial gold deposit in an easily accessible place; a golden nugget.
![]() Background:Since mid 1800's, Oko Mountains, situated just above the property, were producing vein, eluvial and alluvial gold. In the early times, only shallow deposits adaptable to the labor intensive manual mining, with a gold grade higher than 1.0 g/m3, were exploited. Later, alluvial deposits of large creeks were mined. Now, deeper large river deposits are being mined. General information:The mineral properties are situated at and below Oko River mouth, on the right side of Cuyuni River. The total surface of mineral properties, on Oko-Cuyuni Rivers primary alluvial terraces, is: 14.45 km2 (3,570 acres).
Oko Mts., Oko River, Aremu River and Ekribisi River were and are areas producing alluvial gold. Warirri Cr. in Oko Mts. was the first gold discovery in Guyana in mid 1800's.
Access:The important advantage of this alluvial prospect is an easy access. Few miles of river from Bartica, and then 37 miles of road from Kartabo Point to Oko River mouth, which is on the mineral property. Rafal Swiecki, geological engineer email contact February, 2008
